Modern technology really does let people do fairly miraculous things. Once again, the jaw-droppingly talented illustrator I was so fortunate to find has translated an idea in my head into a beautiful work of art. The sketch below is what I sent her (clear on the other side of the world), and the drawing beneath that one is the concept sketch she sent back… in like 4 days. I included some photographs of me and my daughter, who the song is about, when we were about the age we actually were when the events described in the story took place.
